1. About these terms

These terms apply when you book a treatment with The Botanical Massage, buy a gift voucher on thebotanicalmassage.com, or use this website.

By booking, buying a voucher or using the website, you accept these terms. How we handle personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy.

2. Our treatments

Our treatments are wellness and relaxation therapies. They are not medical treatment and do not replace advice from a doctor or other health professional.

Treatment descriptions, durations and prices are shown on each treatment page. We may update them at any time; the price that applies is the one confirmed when you book or buy a voucher.

3. Booking an appointment

  • You can request a booking through the form on our website, by WhatsApp or by phone.
  • A booking request is not a confirmed appointment. Your appointment is confirmed only when we reply by phone, WhatsApp or email. If the time you asked for is not available, we will offer the closest available time.
  • Please give accurate contact details so we can confirm your appointment.

4. Arriving for your session

  • Please arrive 5–10 minutes before your appointment.

5. Changing or cancelling an appointment

  • Please tell us as early as possible by phone or WhatsApp if you need to change or cancel, so we can offer the time to another client.
  • A cancellation charge may apply to late cancellations and missed appointments.
  • If we have to cancel or move your appointment, we will contact you as soon as possible and offer a new time, or return any amount you have paid for it.

6. Your health and safety

  • Before your treatment, please tell your therapist about any health conditions, injuries, allergies (including to oils), recent surgery, medication or pregnancy.
  • Some treatments are not suitable for certain conditions. Your therapist may adapt or decline a treatment if it could be unsafe for you.
  • If you are pregnant, please tell us when booking so we can offer a suitable treatment such as our pre-natal massage.
  • Tell your therapist at any time if the pressure or technique is uncomfortable, and they will adjust it.

7. Behaviour at the studio

We provide professional therapeutic and wellness treatments only. Any inappropriate behaviour or request will end the session immediately and the full price will be charged. We may refuse service to anyone who behaves inappropriately or disrespectfully towards our team.

8. Gift vouchers

Buying a voucher

  • Vouchers can be bought on our website. Each order is for one voucher, for a specific treatment and duration.
  • The price is shown before you pay and is charged in euros (€).
  • Payment is taken securely by Stripe (card, MB WAY or Multibanco).
  • Once your payment is confirmed, the voucher is sent to the buyer’s email address as a PDF, ready to print or forward. It shows the recipient’s name, the treatment, the duration and a unique voucher number.

Using a voucher

  • To book with a voucher, call or WhatsApp +351 917 777 160 and quote the voucher number. Bookings are subject to availability.
  • A voucher can be used once, for the treatment and duration shown on it. With our agreement it can be exchanged for another treatment of the same value; if the new treatment costs more, the difference is paid at the studio.
  • Unused value cannot be exchanged for cash or given as change.
  • Vouchers can be given to someone else. Whoever presents the voucher number can use it, so please keep it safe. We are not responsible for vouchers that are lost, stolen or shared.

Validity

  • Vouchers are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase.
  • Expired vouchers cannot be used, extended or refunded.

Cancelling a voucher purchase and refunds

  • You can cancel a voucher purchase within 14 days of buying it, as long as the voucher has not been used, and we will refund the full amount to your original payment method.
  • After 14 days, vouchers are non-refundable.
  • If a payment fails or is reversed, the voucher is cancelled and cannot be used.
  • To cancel, contact us with your order number and voucher number.

9. Prices and payment

  • All prices are in euros (€).

10. Our website

  • We try to keep the information on this website accurate and up to date, but treatments, prices and opening hours may change.
  • The text, photos and design of this website belong to The Botanical Massage and may not be copied or reused without our permission.
  • Our website links to other sites, such as Instagram, Facebook and Google. We are not responsible for their content.

11. Our responsibility

We provide our treatments with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer under Portuguese and EU law. We are not responsible for problems caused by health information you did not tell us, or for personal belongings left at the studio.

12. Complaints

If you are not happy with our service, please tell us first so we can put it right — email reservations@thebotanicalmassage.com or call +351 917 777 160.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version shown on this page when you book or buy a voucher is the one that applies.

14. Applicable law

These terms are governed by Portuguese law. This does not remove any protection you have under the consumer law of the country where you live.
